Frescoed ceilings, neoclassical sculptures and marble inserts, underlined by warm colors on the walls recalling the atmosphere of the Mannerist paintings. The modern design meets the antique furniture: a brass double bed highlights the typical austere style of a 17th century Florentine chest of drawers, the floors created with the technique of the "terrazzo alla veneziana" are integrated with “glass-walls” bathrooms, a charming tub is mixed with an artifact of a plaster casts depicting the front of a Roman sarcophagus.
Guests will sleep in a fifteenth-century structure, on the same floor where the poets Elizabeth Barrett and Robert Browning (her husband) lived, close to the column placed by Cosimo I and a few meters from the “bugnato” of Palazzo Pitti. Rooms includes: a small fridge, a kettle, free wi-fi, air conditioning, safe, courtesy set, hairdryer and smart TV.
